Understanding the anatomy of a ‘perfect’ blog post will help you better communicate with your readers.
Just like those MLA-formatted essays in college, your blog posts need structure in order to help them shine.
The goal is to create a blog post where the formatting accentuates the valuable information contained – all in an organized and clear way.
So, how does that look? Below is a great blog format suggestion from Social Triggers. Now, everyone is going to have a different style and what I love about blogging is that there are no hard and fast rules – just some best practices.
Take a look at the suggestions below and see what fits and what doesn’t BUT don’t be afraid to try a couple new things.
Here’s two things I’d love for you to try:
1. Connect emotionally. If you’re a solopreneur, author or your story is pivotal to the creation of your business/work seek to connect with your audience in a personal way.
2. Have a call to action! You don’t always have to sell something, but do strive to continue the conversation with your reader. This could be asking them to share their opinions in the comments sections, to tweet your article, subscribe to your newsletter, or refer a friend.
